Young Snape

Chapter One
June 1976
The corridor was dark and breezy as fifteen year old Severus Snape hurried down it, determined in his plan. Unnoticed by him, portraits eyed him keenly as he passed, wondering just what the pallid Slytherin youth was doing jogging down the hallway towards the Gryffindor common room alone so late at night. Although they were all too familiar with the tension and fighting between the two houses, never before had they seen a single Slytherin or Gryffindor rushing off to confront a large group of the other house. It almost seemed suicidal.

It is an honor, nay, a privilege to speak now of my concerns for our beloved Mr.Snape's well being. As he grew up he received quite a handful of unpleasant things, and received an unbelievable overdose of misfortune. However, just when everything seemed a-okay, his world shattered apart again at the loss of Lily Evans; both as a friend,and colleague. Many people rave about how unfair Snape's life was, ans how it wasn't what any human would've bargained for (You may recall that he once said "Life isn't fair"), but have the Snape ravers ever stopped to consider that there is so much about Severs...

Chapter Nine

It had taken Severus seventeen apologies and eight promises of letting the budding relationship between Lily and Potter alone before Lily forgave him. It had taken two apologies and twenty-two promises of “I’ll keep everything between us away from you” before Severus forgave her. He was not happy with the new-found romance, nor would he ever be. But Lily was happy – Merlin only knew why – and Severus didn’t have it in him to keep fighting with her. Even if she had chosen Potter.

Her heart beat fast and her palms were sweaty. She had never wanted to leave Beauxbatons. Holly had been forced to transfer to Hogwarts after her father got a transfer at the International Ministry Of Magic Corp. Holly was an average height-ed girl at five foot six inches tall with deep shoulder-length red hair and electric blue-green eyes.

The pumpkin juice was spilled all over Severus Snape's face, and some managed to dribble into his jet black hair (which in Lilly's opionion, wasn't greasy but more silky). His clothes were too big, and hung over him, like drapery on a curtain rod. "Sev," Lilly Evans hissed across the table, "there's some juice in your hair." He flushed a shade of scarlet, embarassed at the thought of how rediculous he must look.
