Is Severus good or bad?

You're on the Severus Snape Fanpop site, and you're asking this legion of dedicated fans if he's good or bad.

Have you looked around at this site much? That alone ought to tell you what we think. ;)

But if it doesn't, if you've managed to not read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and you've managed to stay spoiler-free, I'll tell you.

I admire Snape. He only loved one person in his life. He helped Harry very much but not admit :x

Well... What BlackHoud said is true :) He might not be Mister Popularity, he's definitely not a nice man, but he IS a good man.

Good. Look at all he did to protect Harry-even if it was all because he loved Harry's mother.

Totally he was risking his life to save Harry Potter. Well really he loved Lilly Potter but she died so he saved Harry. He was a spy for Dumbledore he pretended to be a death eater but he was really a good guy!

without reading the books and only watching the movies he looks bad but once you read or see his memories you'll realize that he isn't as bad as he was made out to look so I'd say no he's helped Harry through the years more then hurt him
