What is your favorite reason to ship Snape/Lily?

Because they had the greatest potential of all the couples in Harry Potter. He loved her more than anything, and the tragedy is so tremendously sad, the least I can do is ship them. Snape did so much in her name, so much for love, that its hard not to support them. He deserved to be with her, that's all there is to it. Long live Severus Snape and Lily Evans!

what should have been...he was perfect for her a loving man who only wanted the best for her and even after her death did everything he could to protect her son until his dying day. =)

Severus wasn't Voldemort's. He wasn't Dumbledore's. He was Lily's. He had always loved her no matter what. He always was sorry for what he had done and what he had said. He wanted to be forgiven. He died broken. He died bravely. He died fighting for Lily's love. He had always loved her forever. After all this time of untrusted years. After being bullied by the one she choosen. After seing their son. He had never turned his back on her. Severus didn't do what he had done for Voldemort or Dumbledore or even Harry. He did it for Lily. He loved her. For forever and for always.

"Always" said Snape.

He loved her very deeply and sincerely. Even when their friendship ended, he continued to protect her at great cost to his own life. When she died, he protected/saved Harry numerous times. How can you not love a man like Snape??

Many People Can't Grasp The Idea Of What True Love Really Is. Snape Is An Example To Us All On How To Love Full Heatedly. His Life Began With Lilly And Ended With A Tear For Her That Held All His Tortured Memories. TRUE LOVE Is The Reason I Ship These Two.

I know why people ship "Snily" but I honestly don't. I feel their relationship got too damaged, and that Lily loved him as a friend. While his love was unending and rather tragic, she didn't feel anything back. In the end, I feel James WAS actually the best choice for her.
