has quite the collection of characters on its show, but star Jamie Lee Curtis believes they all have one big thing in common.
,” the actress said while the cast sat down at San Diego Comic-Con for an interview on SiriusXM Entertainment Weekly radio (ch. 105).
Curtis’ comments came as she was complimenting the work of Emma Roberts as Chanel Oberlin, who, in a show full of serial killers, might be the worst character of them all. “The one person who had to carry that show last season — it’s much more spread out this season because we’ve all now established our characters — but the person who really did was Emma,” Curtis said. “And the comedy and the way she kind of threw that down — I’m just being honest — I really do think you just carried us all and led us down that very specific writing path, and it worked.”
John Stamos, who is set to join the cast for season two as Dr. Brock Holt, echoed Curtis’ statement and praised Roberts’ ability to make that character likeable. “It’s not easy for everybody to play those kind of sharp, little a—hole characters and be likeable, that you still want to watch them,” he said. “I love watching Emma on the show, and the character is a little harsh.”
The series is set to enlist a whole new set of potential a—holes as Colton Haynes and Taylor Lautner are among the other new additions as the action moves off campus to a hospital.
