"Scream Queens" may only be a few episodes in on its first season but Fox executives are reportedly so impressed that they are thinking of renewing it for season 2.

In an interview with The Wrap, Dana Walden, FOX Television Group Chairman and CEO, said that they are seriously considering renewing the series if it continues to perform well in the ratings game. She added that more and more advertisers have taken an interest to the show, pointing out that this is the type of program that networks and streaming services would be happy to have.

On the other hand, show creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy believed that it may just be too early to hope for a renewal. He said that everything is still a fair game until episode 6 air. He pointed out that it would not be fair to assume that the show will be picked up based on its early numbers.

In the interview, Murphy revealed that he was a little upset with how the series\' initial ratings. It earned a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with an average of 4 million viewers, which is below what the producers were expecting.

Even though, "Scream Queens" became the No.1 trending topic on Twitter it unfortunately did not translate to ratings which frustrated the showrunner. The FOX producers, however, were still banking on the delayed viewership playback from streaming sites.

As the network reportedly spent more marketing budget on the Emma Roberts headlined series, it came as no surprise that they eager to find out if their efforts paid off.

I really hope them to be truth, but sadly I read yesterday that Fox apparently has given up on this show (I read it in a Spanish website, that's why I didn't post it, because maybe that would be deleted). On this, they said that due to the ratings they are not very happy with it, that's why they have scheduled the last two chapters on the same day... Anyway, sure soon we will have an official information about this, let's have hope for a renewal! ^^ posted over a year ago.
