I am so sorry that I didn't write yesterday! I was super busy and I had writer's block!:(
*Karim's POV*
I was laying on my bed in my room, staring distantly at the tall ceiling.
I missed everything about her. . . Her soft, marvelous olive skin that heated me with every touch. . . Her silky, and vibrant black as midnight hair. . . And her chestnut brown eyes that captivated me so entirely. I could still hear the husky tenor of her beautiful voice. . . her tinkling, contagious laughter that always seemed to make me smile. . .
Suddenly there was a knock on my door and I rose up to answer it. Before I reached it, it swung open and I couldn't believe the two people I was seeing.
My two brothers, Jackson and Alfred.
"Hey man!" Al boomed, walking on in and giving me a hug that probably would have crushed a human with its force.
"Hey Al, long time no see," I said once he let me go.
"Yeah. . . but we're back now!" he said, grinning away.
"So how was the mission?" I asked as Jackson and I exchanged a hug.
"It went great, we conquered the Nomadic tribes there," Jackson answered.
Alfred, Jackson, and I are all brothers, yet we look nothing alike! Al had short light brown hair that curled up a bit, he was the bulkiest of us all, and the oldest. Jackson had smooth and short black hair, and even though he was a year older than me, we were the same height and everything.
We shared the same resemblances. Pale, inhumanly beautiful skin and blue eyes. Though Al's were a light blue and Jackson's were as blue as the ocean.
"Hey, wanna go and sneak up on Lexy?" Al asked us, already seeming to form a prank even though they've just arrived.
Jackson shook his head.
"Are you sure about that? I seem to re-call the last minor incident we had with her before we left. . ." Jackson re-called in candence, and we all paused to remember the big laugh we had over 'accidentally' dumping a large bucketful of water over Alexis - who had been wearing a newly acquired dress and hair-style. She chased us all around the castle that day and scolded, smacked, and kicked us when she finally caught us.
I sighed. It has been nearly six months since Al and Jackson was ordered on a mission by our father.
"Ah, c'mon! It's been forever since our last prank, and this one needs to be even better!" Al complained and encouraged us until finally we gave in and heard out his 'master plan,' which I had to admit was a great prank as long as we could all follow through.
We found Alexis walking in a long and empty hallway. Perfect.
We planned on making ghost sounds to scare Lex since she doesn't know that Al and Jackson are back from their trip.
We each got into corridors near the ceiling that was too hidden for her to see us and perfect for our voices to echo omniously down to her.
"Alexis. . ." Al began in a spooky tenor.
I saw poor Alexis stop and look around her suspiciously.
"We have been waiting for you. . ." Jackson spoke this time in his spooky voice.
"Who's there?" Alexis asked, her voice panicky as she continued to look around her, and we nearly broke down laughing.
"We have been watching you. . ." I spoke in my spooky voice.
"Where are you? Why have you been watching me?" she gasped, her face going even paler than usual - she heavily believed in ghosts. Why, I don't have a clue.
"Because. . ." Al said, and then gave us the signal because it looked like Lexy was about to faint.
All three of us jumped smoothly down and landed quietly behind her.
"Boo!" We all shouted and Alexis shrieked.
We then busted out laughing, Jackson and I having to lean on each other for support while Al was already on the floor, rolling in laughter.
Alexis then turned swiftly around to face us.
I could tell she was angry by how red her face was, but when she saw Al and Jackson she brightened up considerably.
"Jack? Al?" she spoke with evident happiness but then realization dawned on her and her eyes flashed angrily. "I'm gonna kill you three! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" she shouted and we stopped laughing and Jackson and Alfred looked at her.
"Take it easy, baby sister. . ." Al coaxed calmly but it didn't work.
"I'll show you baby sister!" Lexy growled and we took off running as she started chasing us all around the castle like six months ago.
Note to self: Make Alexis angry, and she comes back with a vengeance.
This chapter was fun, and I hope it gave you more insight on the brotherly-sisterly bond between Karim, Alexis, Alfred, and Jackson! ^_^
