Can anyone tell me about the ring that Ross wears on his left hand index finger/Why does he wear it?

His old girlfriend gave it to him for the 3 week aniversery. I don't know WHY he wheres it.

He wears it because its him thats who he is thats his style, and if he wants to wear a ring hes gonna wear one, or maybe he like jewelery... for men by the way
