That's what I first thought when I saw this episode. I would've liked to see Mordecai finally get to go out with Margaret (and Rigby get his shark tattoo, lol), especially considering the end. But part of me thinks it would've turned out really badly if they had kept lip-syncing.

At first I thought I would have liked to see them be successful in music,and see Rigby get that shark tattoo of his,but I really think things wouldn't turn all that great if they kept lip syncing because sooner or later someone would have found out and they might have been in big trouble,so in a way I'm glad to chose the path they chose,I think it was a smart move.

I wanted them to keep singing but it feels wrong to keep doing it because they wouldve lied and figured out anyways.
