I was listening via Spotify to some great artists I had previously enjoyed in the 80s. In particular, I was listening to Jean-Luc Ponty, virtuoso electric violinist (& plays other strings) playing incredible rock-fusion. In a song titled Rythms of Hope, there was a great bass line which, half way through, developed into the most incredible and enjoyable bass I have ever heard! So who was the musician playing the bass? None other than Randy Jackson!! Wow, I didn't know much about his musicianship prior to Idol judging times. This song is testament to his talent. I am grateful for this song and especially for Randy Jackson's bass performance. I am not sure I will ever hear another bass performance better than RJ's Rythms of Hope. Best wishes to all.
