Childhood trama

I watched a collection of youtube videos with the title above.. About movies or shows that really f*** you up as a kid.. So decided to make my own verison.. Everyone gives lists...

Me first..

JAWS:
For some reason my dad totally thought this was okay for a little kid to watch.. The fact it's on this list proves it wrong.. I don't think it was any particalar part.. Just the Shark itself..

A CHRISTMAS STORY:
Yeah.. Of all things. It was this.. But just the way the bully got beat up. It just really freaked me out as a little kid..

SMALLVILLE SERIES:
Honestly I don't even remember what it was that scared me.. Guess it's too repressed..

KING KONG:
That part where they first arrive on the island and get attacked by those natives.. I repressed this scene for so many years.. But when I recently rewatched the film.. S***. No wonder it haunted me.. :(

LORD OF THE RINGS:
That scene from Lord of the Rings where Smeagul almost immediately becomes corrupted by the ring. Later turning into Gollum.. I don't whst got me more.. The strangle, or the transformation..

Even rewatching it. The speed in which the ring changes them from friends to killing each other. Is very disturbing..

The Ring, Amityville, Deep Rising and Resident Evil.
(the second two were particularly horrifying to me)

Amityville still fucks me up every time.

Oh yeah, my parents never censored what I watched or listened to. It's probably why I'm so inclined to watch horror and write horror now lol.

Do I wanna talk about my actual trauma caused by being raised in an abusive household... or do I wanna talk about that one movie that instilled a fear of all arachnids in me?

The latter it is.

Yall Apollo 18 FUCKED ME UP, and no it isn't Apollo 13. Apollo 18 is a horror, found-footage type thing and the dudes go to the moon and there are fucking spiders n shit and there's like zombie Russian communists or something? Idk man but I was scared of the moon for like a year and still hate spiders.

Oh yeah.

I was 8 when I watched that.

I don't think any movie traumatized me when I was a kid. Anytime I saw a scary movie as a kid I would only be scared by it for a night or two.

Jurassic Park. I love that movie to this day, just that as a kid the Dilophosaraus, the one that spat out a black venom that could kill it's victem. Anyways, that scene freaked me out for such a long time that through out my teens I had to cover my eyes. That dinosaur still freaks me out but I have no problem watching it now.

The Exorcist: I shouldn't have seen it when I had as I was 13 and my mother didn't want me to see it but I did anyways. That movie really scared me for a long time. I had nightmares for weeks because of it. It was mostly the possession done to the girl and the things she had done. Some things were really disturbing. I can watch it now with no problems. It's actually one of my favorite horror movie.

IT (the original): I think I had been about 6, I'm sure I was because my sister was a baby at that time. Anyways, the first scene where Pennywise the clown was hiding in the drain or whatever you call it and dragged a little boy into it. That scene scared me so much that I didn't finish the whole movie and it, again, gave me nightmares. Though now? I don't find it scary at all.

I think that's about it.

There are a few.

Scream: Honestly, this guy used to be one of my biggest fears back then when I was a child. I was afraid to stay alone and in the dark for the reason that he might pop out from somewhere.

The Exorcist: That girl dude... Edgy af.

The Ring: Same as above.

Saw: Dat Mask was already freaky enough.

The Grudge: Honestly, creepy little Kids have quite the effect on me.

Poltergeist: That Clown is still giving me Nightmares...

There are some other examples too but the above come mainly to my mind. Plus, there are those Movies that I have watched as a Kid, probably gave me a Trauma but still don't remember their name lol !!!!

^ They didn't. You see, I first saw the Character, Jigsaw Killer being featured in Scary Movie 4. Was watching it with my Uncle. Despite the nature of this Movie, seeing this dude was still quite Freaky !!!!

^I guess she`s talking about a play, but the book is also really interesting. At least I liked it a lot back when we had to read it in middle school. I recommend reading it.

Yeah, there have been many through the ages made - the ones I saw were a series of movies made during the 1950's - well before I was born.
