I think so as well. Lady Eboshi is not a real vilain. She just wanted the best for her people and even she later realized destroying the forest wasn't exacly a good idea.

The closest thing to a bad guy was Lady Eboshi without a doubt

Jigo is actually the mastermind behind everything, his greed led him to use any means to get what he desired

There was no villain

No one was truelly a villian. That is how Miazaki sets all of his movies. No one is EVER truelly evil, because we are all human. Sure, we all have an evil side to us... but kindness and reason counts too.

Humans, in general, were the villains in this... Despite the fact that some humans can be kind and reasonable, many are not. This movie really exemplified the idea of how humans treat the environment in this day and age - some people are interested and try their best, but the general population either don't care, or are imprisoned by society's odd morals.

There weren't any specific "villain" in the movie... No one was truly evil or good. Characters had both of them inside, just like real people, and that's just another proof how big of a mastermind Miyazaki is.
