	chel1395 picked Donald Sutherland (2005): Super tough question. I'm conflicted. We get to see much more of Mr. Bennet in the 1995 version and he's so quick and witty. But, Donald Sutherland is always fabulous and I especially like the scene between him and Mary when he comforts her at the party. Ugh, I'm torn. posted over a year ago.

In the mini series it seemed to me like his character is less flawed. In the 2005, you can see that he too is not a perfect parent. 	evrogers picked Benjamin Whitrow (1995): Benjamin Whitrow infused so much heart into the role. You could see the remnants of his love for his wife, even through all the teasing, in his eyes. And that final scene with Lizzy when he kisses her forehead and gives his permission for her marriage makes me cry everytime I see it. Donald Sutherland was very good, but Whitrow was masterful. Every subtle gesture he made was the perfect choice for his character. posted over a year ago.
