Pride and Prejudice Question

Should the dance scenes have been much longer ???

The first village hall dance ended abruptly and the ballroom dance could have been extended by another 5 to 6 minutes. I have always felt a bit cheated by these particular scene cuts...I think they are some of the more interesting, eye-catching moments and should last longer, really....

"Spark of passion"- I'll say, the dance between the two with the background music is a really intense scene. It oozes electricity and confirms that something is becoming beyond the control of both of them. Apart from that, it is fun to watch males and females dancing in a more elegant fashion. The outfits are great and you become lost in the gaeity and visuality of the scene; that is until they chop it short . I think half an hour would be nice... and if I could be in the screen , even better.
