I feel like I’m watching Preacher try to pull off a particularly difficult jump from a balance beam. It did one flip last week, and it’s done another one with this week’s “Schwanzkopf” (which, yes, means “dickhead”).

One of the best things that can be said for Preacher is that, even when it’s a mess, you can kind of tell what it’s trying to do.

For yet one more episode, Preacher has managed to keep all its balls up in the air.

I admit I was initially a little worried when Cassidy split off from the pack. Juggling multiple narrative threads isn’t easy on the best of days, and Preacher is generally strongest when it lets its characters bounce off of each other.

Let’s be clear: One full star of that four-star rating you see is for Humperdoo’s soft-shoe.

The panel begins with a trailer of what's to come over the course of Season 3. The cast and producers are then brought onto the stage: Sam Catlin, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, and Joseph Gilgun.

Not to bang the same drum I was beating last week, but there are times when I think that Preacher ought to be The Tulip Show.

To me, Preacher’s constant drawing of parallels between the past and the present is like catnip — that is to say, I’ve loved the two episodes we’ve gotten so far, at least where that mirroring is concerned.
