"What? What did you do?" I handed her the ticket. "Oh my goodness! It's tickets for Jonny Cosmo! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She squealed. She hugged me so tight, I couldn't breathe. Then Miyako was skipping towards us.
"Hey, you two! Did you hear? Minoru invited me to a fashion show!"
"Kaoru got me a ticket to the Jonny Cosmo movie!" she shouted back. Miyako gave me a confused look so I showed her my plan with the dust. Man, it' so easy to use when things are minor. But it's seeps my energy.
"So, what do you want to do? I heard that school is out do to a snowstorm that's going to start at 9:00." Miyako asked.
"Well, I'm going to the park to practice some soccer." I said. Then my phone rang. "Hello?"
"Kaoru, it's me. I want you to be home at 5:00 sharp tonight. I have something to discuss." Oh, no. It's my dad.
"Ok, dad. I will." I hung up, then turned to Momoko and Miyako. "My dad said to be home by 5:00."
"Well, maybe he's gotten you something yummy." suggested Momoko.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but he doesn't have any treats. I hope he didn't get my attendance record." Later that day, I prepared to go home. Then I sensed Butch contacting me. 'What is it?"
'It worked. He won't stop talking about it, though. How about you?'
'Yeah. But I'm still trying to recover from the hug she gave me.'
'Well, it's time to watch some football. See you in person tomorrow.'
'You too.' We left mind chat. I checked my phone to see the time. "Uh, oh! I only have 5 minutes!" I raced to the house, gasping for breath. "Ok, I'm here. Now what's so important you wanted to talk to me about?"
"How do you think I feel?" The next day, I went to the lab to hang out.
"Hey everybody!" I sat on the couch next to my friends, who said hi to me. Then we heard a bang. We turned to see Him standing behind us. My forehead started burning like I was getting a fever. For some reason, I couldn't move.
"Hello, Buttercup. What a surprise to see you here." I started trembling.
Blossom got up. "Why are you here, Him? We didn't invite you. And why are you being so nice to Buttercup, and not us?"
"Why don't you ask her?" He grinned mischievously. Then he disappeared.
"Buttercup, tell us why!" Bubbles pleaded. I knew that if I didn't tell them, they would not talk to me until I do. I decided that the only way to stop my guilt was to tell them.
