I have been playing a Fire Red Nuzlocke for the past four days. I'm mostly doing it because I've never successfully completed one, but I was almost to the Elite Four when I lost one of the Pokemon that had literally been with me since Route 2. Redwall the Raticate. I am entirely sure I would NEVER have made it that far without Redwall, he saved me many times, but I got sad and my mom who was nearby just scoffed and called it "pixels on a screen" T_T...I loved that Raticate. I'm annoyed with the creators of Pokemon White. In past games, text is in normal grammar except for names. Names of people, places, Pokemon, etc. tend to be in ALL CAPS while the rest is NORMAL. I assumed it was the same and so used all caps for my PC's name. As I play though, I realized all the names were in proper grammar except mine. By that point I'd already picked and grew attached to my Pokemon, but it drove me crazy seeing random caps for my character in a sea of proper grammar. Posted over a year ago

Why do the games give us mostly Pokemon that are only good for a while at the start while the ones that become amazing in the long run show up at the second half of the game? Why get us emotionally attached to early birds like Pidgey when more powerful Pokemon of the same type (like Doduo) are waiting down the path?
