I am a veteran player from when the games first came out and I remember having so much fun battling my friends and and coming up with the strangest moves to teach random pokemon. But it seems to me that some of that original awe of just flying by with what you like has been lost. Now there are so many competitive move sites and pokemon are ranked by there abilities and stats, I think it is kind of ridiculous. What happened to the days of using a Starmie with bubblebeam because you didn't like how surf looked or using Charizard even if he is weak to rock. I think thats part of the fun, who really cares if you win?
