Dozens of questions are born in my head. Is he good looking? What does he look like? Does he like Jen? As Jen and I are walking along the path to Castelia City, I decide to let one of those questions come to life. "Jen," I start. "Yeah?" Jen looks at me with her coffee brown eyes. Man, do they sparkle in the sunlight. "Do you like this guy? Trip?" I ask her. Jen sighs heavily. "Well, he's...ok. I really don't know him though." Whew. "But I want to know him better!" Oh crap. My eyes widen in caution. "Trip has dirty blonde hair, cloud grey eyes, and pale-ish skin. He makes me feel like I have a crush on him!" This is bad. Who knows if this Trip is going to break her heart later on in life! Ok, I admit it. Jen is my best friend and I want to protect her from anything. Even a boy. "Jen, boys are stupid. You should really hate them! They'll only break your heart!" I think I'm taking this a little too far. "Shinji, don't worry about a thing." Jen holds my right hand. "I'll be fine. Besides, if someone does break my heart, you'll break their arm!" It's a win-win! Jen's good a cheering someone up. And that someone right now is me. "You're right. You and I will be fine." I let go of Jen's hand and sigh. "Do you think we'll see Trip anytime soon?" "I hope not. He looks just like you!" I choke on my words. "Oh that's just...great..."
