actually ash was 12 in the first pokemon shows he is now 23 and brock is 27

Ash started his journey on his 10th birthday, but we've seen him celebrate one birthday in the Pikachu short for the first film, so he is at least 11, but he has called himself the same age as both Dawn & May when first meeting them, and they're 10, so it seems it was retconned and Ash is still 10 years old.

Every reigion isn't always a year simpilest way to do it is take 5 years off of Brocks age because Ash was 10 when he met Brock and Brock was 15 easiest way all I am sure of he was 10 when he started off as a trainer or this might might not work but check bulbapedia my guess

It's hard to tell because when he started he was about 11. We don't really know how long each journey is, but we can guess that he is about 14 or 13 around. He is still a little immature so he is probably in his early teens.

In the pokemon games they don't really have an age but you start your journey at 10, so he's probably still ten

It's kind of hard to say because one episode of Pokemon would be like one day in our time, sometimes weeks. 300 or something episodes would be like one year. I highly doubt he's around 20. But I always thought he would probably be around 15 or 16 in the new episodes. But i'm not really sure.

Dont want to be rude, but if you would have payed attention to the first episode of season 1 and the first episode of season 14, they clearly state that ash is 10 years old. if there are an average of 630 episodes total, and 2 episodes = 1 day time, all episodes together would be less than a year, which means he is still 10 years old. (remember that the first episode of season 1 was his 10th birthday)

Quite simply, ash is ten. He started as ten, and probably always will be. Sure it would have been cool I guess to see him grow up along with us considering it was everyone born in my generation when Pokemon was released in America but he stayed ten to reach out to the public eye as a role model for children and so Nintendo could hold their title as ash ketchup from pallet town being the protagonist that everyone recognizes. Kind of like when you watch other cartoons and the characters are always wearing the exact same outfit. It's to hold relativity.

Well Ash is 10,and he will forever stay that old. The reason for this is because they feel kids pay more attention when the character is around their age.In my mind,each season is a week for them.I saw someone say-which I really liked it-that Ash sold his soul to the Devil so he can never age.

I think ash is still 10 even though at episode 465 Gathering the Gang of 4 ash says: "a lot has happened over the years" saying that more than a year past. If ash was older then 10 pokemon would make that clear but if they didn't make that clears I guess he's still 10.

However, the show DOES make mentions of time.

In the first episode, he is 10 and gets pikachu. However, in one of the last episodes in season 1, ash mentions its been a year, so logic would say he is 11. However, as stated, for marketing and target audience reasons, he will always be 10.

why are we concerned about only Ash's age not increasing?take other shows- it's been years since nobaita (doraemon) is 9 yrs old.....and shin-chan is still only 5 years old.....so,conclusion- characters never age in anime world!
