Well i have loads of master balls on pokemon gold, there not really doing anything just gathering dust in my pack, because i've caught all the legendary dogs and lugia ho-oh and snorlax, i think it was probably Magikarp at level 5, i think it was when i was trying to get a gold magikarp and i was going to put them in the day care centre and i accidently threw out a master ball instead of a regular poke ball or lure ball.

I think you really need a master ball for that one, he's really big and difficult to catch. Unless you try several ultra balls.
