Personally, I like both of them.
Stats: (Remoraid) average attack/special attack and speed. (Octillery, assuming you would evolve them) High attack and special attack, average of everything else. (Buizel) Average HP, Attack, and Special attack, high speed. (Floatzel) High HP and special attack, Very high attack and speed, and average defense.
Remoraid and Octillery has a better moveset (if you want speed and good stats, go for Buizel and Floatzel); Remoraid can learn Hyper Beam around Lv.45. Odds are, you're likely to train Buizel and teach it good moves using TMs.
Remoraid maybe look dumb. But he can learn 3 great beam move at the same time at level 22. Psybeam, bubblebeam, and aurora beam. Plus, the octazooka move when he evolve to octilery. I recomended remoraid.
I think you should train both, but if you only want to train one train remoraid because it turns into a cool octillery which knows a VERY strong move called octazooka
Remoraid is an awful pokemon but I rate octillery. Teach it gunk shot and octazooka and your gonna kill everyone in one fell swoop. And for that reason. Choose remoraid. But whats stopping you training both. Floatzel is and always will be a hard-hitting water type thats easy to obtain. Both. choo-choo-choose both.
