Hmm... I'm too lazy to be that specific... but!!!

If there would be a gen VI, I'd make it;

Gym 1: Ice
Gym 2: Water
Gym 3: Grass
Gym 4: Bug
Gym 5: Fire
Gym 6: Electric
Gym 7: Ground
Gym 8: Flying

And furthermore I hope that in Gen VI they let the player travel through ALL the other regions.

Here is my answers and why.

Gym 1: Dragon - It is the only type which all fire, water and grass are all weak to so it requires the trainer to catch more pokemon much like Pokemon black and white. There would have to be 2 pokemon so 1 from the gen VI and probably a dratini.

Gym 2: Ice - I'd imagine if the first gym was dragon type then you'd be able to catch the VI gen dragon pokemon as soon as possible. Just so they don't abuse them threw the whole game.

Gym 3: Grass - This would be the first triple battle in the game (rotation battles are stupid) The reason is because grass has such a variety of weaknesses (fire, ice, poison, flying, bug) and you would have to have 3 pokemon on the field at the same time. This forces you to have a small variety on the pokemon you choose but forcing you to not just stick with one or two.

Gym 4: Rock - The last two gyms you would have blazed through with your fire starter, so this is just to throw a spanner in the works for all the fire fanatics out there. Unless for some reason Gamefreak decides that another fire fighting pokemon is needed then nevermind.

Gym 5: Flying - I think it would be cool that when you beat the flying gym leader they would be the one who gives you fly. That really is my only point on this gym. Also to counteract the fire/fighting starter if there was going to be one.

Gym 6: Dark - Very much needed in the next gen. I'm fairly sure there hasn't been a dark gym before so there is a desperate need for one. There needs to be a spiritomb or sableye in this gym to annoy some people with pokemon with no weaknesses.

Gym 7: Fighting - There needs to be a gym in this game that actually resembles a real life gym. It would just look cool. Not like Marshal's elite four area, the boxing ring. I mean a work out gym.

Gym 8: Steel - The type that is kickass. has plenty of types that do little to nothing damage. If steel wasn't a gym leader then it would definitely be an elite four member.

As a bonus I'll chuck in my elite four members plus the champion.

In any order
Water
Electric
Ground
Bug

The champion should have the best pokemon from each gen or similar to that
Dragonite
Tyranitar
Metagross
Lucario
Hydreigon
and the best VI pokemon

*note that Garchomp is statistically the best IV gen pokemon but then there would be one too many dragons so I chose Lucario instead because he is a beast.
