Pokémon Question

Do you think the Hoenn Pokemon games (Ruby and Sapphire and Emerald) will be remade in the DS just like Pokemon Gold and Silver as "Heartgold and Soulsilver"? If yes, what do you think they'll call the remade versions?

Since no-one else here has a feel for the industry I'll say it for them.

Making remakes of old games will get nostalgic people to get them and people who haven't played them to try the newest versions, giving Nintendo and Game Freak money. Furthermore a remake has always came 2 gens after they were released:
1st gen red and blue remade to 3rd gen fire red and leaf green
2nd gen gold and silver remade to 4th gen heart gold and soul silver
it would be out of typical business plan for them not to continue this pattern.

Yeah, I think they'll be made for the 3DS. They could be called something like EmberRuby Version and AquaSapphire Version, but who knows? I never once yet made any right predictions with Nintendo.

First of all, does every game needs to be remade? And plus, if there were so many remakes, we will be puzzled out and run out of money buying the games XD
I love Pokemon Emerald, a remake would be really cool but right now the latest thing about the games section is Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2.
After the release and the check out of these games,
remakes and etc. would be a cool time to talk.
And also, Nobunaga's Ambition is still left! OMG!
Anyways, remake of the Emerald version would be really cool and would definitely want to check it out. But not now Nintendo!

No, it is still possible to play R,S,E, on the original DS consoles. (DS and DS lite) They really don't have a reason to remake them. Also it seems that those games weren't as well known. It is possible, if you want to look for it after all the stuff they are already dishing out, then sure.

I Don't Think EVERY Pokemon game needs a remake and besides Ruby and Sapphire are playable on the Regular DS with the gameboy slot in the front and it isn't as old gold, gold was 97 or something like that Ruby Sapphire and Emerald are 05 in the U.S. and I don't think a remake necessary.

As long as the pokemon's data can be transferred to black&white and future games, there's no need to remake them.

Well lets look at it this way

Red/Blue/Green - FireRed/LeafGreen = 8 years apart
(1996 & 2004)
Gold/Silver - HeartGold/SoulSilver = 10 years apart
(1999 & 2009)
Ruby/Sapphire (2002) & Emerald (2004)

The time margin would be about right well maybe in about 2013-2014 and this was by the Japanese release years but if it were in Europe/America it would be roughly the same amount of time.

So by that it does look like it could potentially be released.By the timing.

If they do I would have no idea what the games would be called I know this will be probably highly wrong but maybe MagmaRuby and AquaSapphire after the villains Team Magma and Team Aqua but I severely doubt it.

While I agree with the people on here that not every game needs to be remade but if the 3DS isn’t going to have a port for the Gameboy Advance games then I think they should. I mean my Gameboy SP is on its last leg and I would love to play the Hoenn Region again.

There is an obvious pattern with the games. Red and Green were for the gameboy color, and their remakes were for the gameboy advance, and called Firered and Leafgreen, released after Ruby and Saphire, and before Emerald. Gold and Silver were for the gameboy advance and their remakes Heartgold and Soulsilver were for the DS. They were released after Diamond and Pearl, yet before Platinum. The remakes for Ruby and Saphire should have been right after Black and White, but to my intense dismay, they have "Black 2" and "White 2". Still...one can hope that after the sequals, the hoenn remakes will be released. Its thus far the only region you cannot enter with a DS console (**Spoiler** In Heartgold and Soulsilver, you can enter Kanto after beating the elite four)
On a seperate but related note, there is a possibility that the new two generation five games will feature content related to Hoenn, though its just my guess. With its large regional dex, those pokemon have to come from somewhere. Fingers crossed for the new games being tied to Hoenn!!! XD
