I say it was about five years when Pocahontas and John Smith ment again. They ment the first time in 1607 and then met for the second time in 1612,so it's a five year gap.

In fact I was wondering about the same thing. Yet, if they wanted to stick to the real story, the sequel should take place in about 1616 (as far as I am concerned that's the year when she went to England), therefore it's 9 years after she met John Smith. However, this would make Pocahontas at the age of 26 in the sequel (she's 17 in the first movie)... On the other hand, John Rolfe came to Jamestown in 1610. Could it be only 3 years of gap between the original movie and the sequel? I wouldn't say so. Some of the dialogues in the second movie point that it was a pretty long time between events from the first and second movie.
