The art of taste involves a subtle mixing of flavors. Is there a better food for this than pizza?
I daresay the most common pizza topping in America (besides sauce and cheese) is pepperoni. All pepperoni is not made the same, of course. Pepperoni can be soft and full of their succulent, spicy flavor. They can be crisp and lifting at the edges, tempting you to pick them off and pop their crispy goodness in your mouth. Some people don't mind eating half of the pepperoni's well known circles in a bite; others must eat a circle at a time.
These choices exist for a single topping, and hundreds exist. The mix of salty ham and sweet pineapple calls to some. Jalapenos and sausage is a treat that can be appreciated by the adventurous. If you could mix and match all the pizza flavors available in your local pizzeria, there would be billions of choices. No other food comes close.
And that's only in America!
In China, where pizza chains such as Pizza Hut are sweeping the country, pizzas are ordered bursting with toppings thick with chicken, fish, and a whole host of other delicacies. Pizza chains originally failed until they changed their toppings to fit local tastes.
Pizza is a food fit for, well, anyone! (unless you're lactose intolerant. Sucks for you!)
