You could always talk to him in your head. Sometimes I do that when I'm going to bed. I'm not sure how, but he's able to connect through dreams and through the mind and in person as well. The best of luck to you and don't give up! As long as you believe, Peter will know you're there :)
He won't mind, trust me. I haven't had much time to speak to him lately, but I try to communicate with him in my head. He'll understand if you don't always have time to communicate with him, though.
