Paramore Question

Does the repetitive chorus in "The Only Exception" annoy you at all?

For me, not necessarily, but I do think they could've done better and added more lyrics to it. But pretty much everyone I know (especially my family) can't stand the song just because of that.

Sort of. It's not one of my top 5 favourites from the CD. I thought it was alright at first. But after a while, I think it started to get a bit annoying. I'm putting the blame on the radio stations for that. The Only Exception is definitely overplayed here. It gets tiring after a while. They could do with a little more variation... I hate it when they keep playing my favourite songs over and over again. They just slowly kill my love for those songs.

OT: My mum LOVES The Only Exception. lol I had put that on the fanmix CD I made for her birthday last year. She loves it so much. :D

Oh and I this should be asked in the picks since this is an opinionated question. =P

Yeah... just decided to be lazy and post it here. :P but yeah, it's definitely overplayed for a Paramore song, but not even close compared to the rest of the overplayed songs by other artists these days. But now they cut out quite a bit of the chorus on the radio so it doesn't drag on forever.

Tbqh, I think it's the most overplayed Paramore song here. Ever. It gets more plays than BBBB and Ignorance, imo. "but yeah, it's definitely overplayed for a Paramore song, but not even close compared to the rest of the overplayed songs by other artists these days. " That would include a dozen of songs from Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Justin Bieber. I've given up listening to the radio. It's getting really boring. lol. I haven't heard the cut version before. They still play the whole song here. haha

I wouldn't say it's terrible, I actually really like it. It's just the chorus that I think thbey could've been much more creative with. But the song overall has really deep meaning and I really do love it. <3

It doesn't bother me too much, but additional words would've been nice. The opening lyrics are my favorite. :)
