After the first episode....me....

I WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE TO SEE IF IT WAS AWESOME AND GUESS WHAT? I WASTED A WHOLE HOUR ON THIS CRAP AND IT'S ALL MARK FAULT FOR LETTING LEYTON LEAVE! I'M NOT EVEN GONNA WATCH IT.

I watched the first one, gave it a chance, and it IS NOT the same show i fell in love with. I miss LEYTON.

i think it's going to rock now that leyton is out finaley

and now there will be more screentime on brulain yay and naley and that's awsome

I thought the first episode was kinda boring, but it will probably get more interesting..

first episode was absolutely terrible. the writing was sloppy/lazy, the new characters were beyond pointless, and the acting was so cheesy

goodbye old OTH... you will be missed!

AWFUL!

The first episode was weak. I tried not to expect anything so that I could possibly be pleasantly surprised with Mark's creativity minus Leyton. Still thought the show was weak. A 90210 knock-off in some scenes.

And Luke's "replacement" (the agent guy) is a weak actor. The actress who plays Quinn however is ok. Anyhow, all in all, the premier was a big disappointment. And believe it or not, my statement has nothing to do with Leyton. The show isn't the same without them anymore but at least they got their happy ending. So I was willing to keep watching the show if it was really well done. Too bad it's not. I doubt I'll be watching for long.

Haley, maybe Naley and Quinn are the only reasons i would keep watching.

i don't think it will suck....but i have a feeling it will be like the last 2 seasons... mediocre. i don't think it has anything to do with lucas and peyton not being there (at least in my opinion)...it just has to do with the fact that over the past couple of years OTH has just lost it's touch. there are always scenes and story lines i like, but then there are a lot of scenes and some episodes in the past 2 seasons i really did not like. i liked tonight's episode- there were a few parts that made me laugh and a few parts that really made me go "aww"...like:

when brooke wrote marry me in the sand and then it got washed away. or when julian showed up after jamie made his wish. but i definitely think that since the end of season 4, OTH has had a very different feel to it. but hopefully i'll like this season more than seasons 5 and 6.

i'm also excited to find out more about quinn cause her character is intriguing.

come on guys give it more than one episode before you write it up and i don't want this to sound mean at all but their is more to the show than lp their were other characters and i only saw half because i was in class but what i saw was good so give it some more time before you think its going to bomb.

That was the worst season premier of the whole fucking show!! I admit that the OTH I originally fell in love with was the high school OTH...and seasons 5 & 6 had the 7th Heaven touch, but it was still pretty interesting! annnnnd it had Leyton in it. For me, this episode was absoloutly awful. Maybe it was 'cause of Leyton, because truth fully you can't juts take out the main characters and expect the show to still be amazing. I want my Leyton... :( It's just not One Tree Hill anymore, and I doubt it ever will be again. As for the new characters, Clay is just plain boring...but Quinn is kinda growing on me. I can just tell that they're going to get together, and be the new Mouth & Millie (GAG) ... I think it's rediculous how Mark is trying to replace Leyton! That is IMPOSSIBLE! Oh, and we didn't even get one proper Naley scene...I mean c'mon!!! I thought Brulian was kinda cute, but they had more make out scenes in one episode than LP had in the whole 2nd half of season 6...ughh! I'm just really disappointed in Mark. They also never exactly said where LP had gone... They just said they were gone. Brooke mentioned Peyton a coupleimes, and Jaime mentioned Lucas. That's about it...I wish they could have given more information.

All in all, IMO that was horribleee! XD I doubt I'll be watching ever episode...

...When Haley walked into Tric, and it showed that woman's hands drawing, I actually thought it was Peyton! Haha, pretty stupid...but I had hope! :(

I decided to give it a chance for Brulian...and because there was nothing better on tv during that time,lol. It was ok,but not the same without Leyton =(

I loved Brulian. Liked Clay, Quinn and the upcoming storyline for Naley and that woman. But I still hate every scene Jamie, Mouth, Mille and Skills is in. I also don't care for Nathan's nba storyline.

Overall,I am not excited for this season. =S

I expected more of the first episode to be honest, but I'm sure it'll get better.

i saw the parts i missed and i thought it was great everything was so good it was what i wanted and after the last couple of seasons where they have had some questionable storylines i think this is what the show needed although it felt weird without LP it was refreshing i loved everyone and everything but that stupid record exec she seemed so damn bitchy.

I enjoyed it, but then the show was never about Leyton for me.

The first episode wasn`t so bad. I liked the Naley and Brulian scenes. Especially when Haley said happy birthday to Jamie, that made me laugh so hard.

I still love OTH, and I always will...

I think we should give it somemore time before we write it off. If some of you were true one tree hill fans you would realize that Leyton didn't make the show all by themselves. Even though they are gone we still have three of the main characters, old supporting, and some new faces. Give it a chnace i know i will be.

Seriously, it's sad that you guys think that OTH is only good with Leyton. Then Mark should have created his own Leyton show where only Leyton gets good storylines and a lot of screentime. - Oh what, he already did that! :O It's called season 6.

Season 6 wasn't all about Leyton.
But we do have to admit that they got a LOT of attention there. There's no wonder why a huge major of the LP fans pick season 6 as their favorite LP season.

So it's natural if the LP fans miss them. They went from having their couple all the time, to not having them at all.
So i get that you guys are upset. Better, i understand it, because i've been there too.

First, Leyton doesn't make the show. And second you have only seen ONE episode. One episode out 22 or more episodes.

I liked the episode. If i had to pick from all the OTH premiers, this wouldn't be my least favorite, that's for sure.
And i think everybody got their fair ammount of screen time.

Cas don't generalize. I stand by what I said - I watched OTH with an open mind and no outlandish expectations. I thought season 6 was pretty boring already and though chad was a weak actor in like 80% of it, at least he and Hil and good storylines. So did Brooke. Outisde of that things lagged for me. I didn't hate 701 but I thought it was same old season 6 tones that did nothing for me. Brulian and Quinn were pretty good but that's where it ends for me. It's not really fare for you to assume that all Leyton fans chose to hate 701 blindly because our "precious" LP is gone. I mean, it's not like all BL/NH fans loved it.

NOT ME!!! The 1st epi was totally awesome! So many fuuny scenes with Mouth and Skills! And great Brulian's love story and happy Naley's family! And all new characters were brilliant!
Congrats Mark! New season has a good beginning!

Cat is not generalize it most of the lpers i know who have seen the episode think it was crap and think this season is a fail but i agree with what cat said it is not fair to judge the season after one episode its just one episode and they were not going to talk about lp they had to introduce the new characters they did mention them though you guys should give it a chance before you pan it just because they are not their .

Leyton or no Leyton, the episode still sucked for a lot of people. Just bcause a lot of the people who picked meee are leyton fans, that doesn't automatically mean that the ONLY reason we didn't like the episode was because leyton wasn't in it. Even if leyton was in it, that wouldn't have made the overall writing any better, or the acting and storylines any less forced and cheesy. Assuming that LP fans didn't like the episode soley because of LP isn't fair at all. To me, the whole episode had a cheesy, "7th Heaven" feel to it... and that has nothing to do with Leyton being gone

dermer i know most of the LPers thought it was crap. That's not what I was talking about or disputing. It's the fact that Cas assumes that all lpers hated it because leyton was missing and that's clearly untrue. I'm actually glad leyton's gone because their story has been told. I'd personally rather they ended strong instead of lagging on in this weak excuse for an episode. It's the tone of the season that bothers me. It's just like season 6 (mostly boring with one or two good storylines - the baby storyline in s6 and brulian storyline in s7). For me they've exhausted enough angles for the show. Mark knows it. That's why he's adding "fresh" characters to an already expired show. That's how I feel. And clearly I'm not the only LP fan who feels that way.

And i said i don't really blame you guys, i understand how it's like to have one of your favorites couples gone (in case you haven't noticed, BL isn't together since season 3).

So you belong to the 10% of the fans who doesn't hate season 7 just because LP left. What can i say?

Yea, my name is Catia (Cat). We've talked before, but it seems you don't really remember it.

I've been pretty disappointed in One Tree Hill ever since season 5 started, and I just want it back to how it used to be. There used to be such a thrill to watch it and to wonder what is going to happen next, but now since Leyton isn't on the show I feel like there is nothing to look forward to. I'm not loving the new characters and Jamie is just annoying me. I want him off the screen. The biggest mistake was getting rid of CMM and Hilarie Burton. </3

Leyton was a big part of it and a big part for me as fan.

I don't know.. I'm kind of excited. Though I will miss Lucas and Peyton.. I hope the new cast cane make up for them.
I've already fallen in love with Robert Buckley's character(Clay)and I'm happy to see more Brooke and Julian.
I hope the story line with Nathan plays out well. I've always been an OTH fan.. so I'm going to stick it out and see how it goes :)

grrr. ME! this show is gaah, to put it simply i wasted a whole hour of my life that ill never get back watching that poor excuse of a premiere. way to ruin an awesome show mark.

i love oth and i liked the episode shore it has changed alot but it had to,cos of 2 main characters leaving. i am going to defo keep watching it and see how it plans out i am such it will be as good as ever.

The first episode wasn't the best premiere but I'm sure the episodes will start to get better as the drama builds, I'm looking forward to Brooke and Julian's father meeting and Rachels coming back...can't wait!!!

Not a leyton Fan. Didn't see the first episode. I just know it'll hurt too bad. I can't imagine the show without: Brucas, Breyton, Laley, Nathan and Lucas's relationship.... I just don't want to know how they ruined the show

After s4, everything just became different for OTH, I have to agree on that. And there were redemptive moments in s5 and s6 but they don't measure up with the earlier seasons. The storylines of each character are still fine but then again there would be twists that just don't fit the pattern. And the couples...the only stable one for me is Naley. Leyton had to be written off because their storyline is begging to be finished (which is a shame because Lucas and Peyton as individual characters make up half of the show's quality). I'm glad that Naley and Brulian and Nathan and Haley and Brooke will get more screentime but taking out the other two just made OTH's light dim a little (though I have no qualms that LP couple is gone, bon voyage, TLA). Still, it's only the first ep. I will keep watching the show till the end.

i loved s7 so far, even though leyton's gone (: plz keep watching it! maybe it's getting better! or oth will go down like the o.c. ...that would be awful!!! O.O

I don't think so. It's not all about Leyton. I like season 7 so far, but I do miss Peyton.
