Ha. NO.

In real life, maybe sometimes. But in these occassions? It's more like the opposite, and a drunk Lucas means him saying things that he IN NO WAY means lol. Considering that when he told Brooke to "stay", and kissed her... he was really caught up on Peyton, and it really had nothing to do with his feelings towards Brooke. And considering that when he told Peyton he "hated her"... well, do I really need to explain all the evidence pointing to the fact that he DIDN'T mean it?

Come on. Claiming that either one of those scenes were Lucas' "sober thoughts" is absolutely absurd.

I think that there was still a part of him that had feelings for Brooke in the BL scene. I'm not saying he was in love with her at that point or anything, but it wasn't THAT long before that time that they had a serious relationship together. People tend to gravitate towards the "things" they know when they are hurt...

lmao! someone pleeeeease explain to me how either of these scenes could be considered as lucas' true feelings. PLEASE. i'm very curious..considering that there isn't even A BIT of evidence to support that logic.

I don't think these words and actions were Lucas's true feelings. I do however believe he was going through a very hard time in both scenes. He went to Brooke because he needed comfort, after his break up with Peyton <-(which he decided to do, on his own...) and the Peyton 'I hate you' scene, I think he was just speaking out of term and wanted to hurt her, as bad as he was hurting. Plus I think he blame her a lot for the whole Lindsay calling off the marriage thing.

And Obliviously Lucas doesn't hate Peyton........ He married her, you will not marry someone you hate. And don't even get me started on the years before that.

right. and isn't that the point of the question? so just out of curiosity, why did you choose "yes, but..."? and obviously he was going through a lot, but I don't really get what that has to do with anything, or how it changes the point of the question? either way him being drunk did NOT lead to him saying his true feelings in these scenes

Yea, I just realized that those really didn't make sense so I did delete those two options. And I really wish I phrased the question better. Because I do think when people are drunk they do say things that they normally wouldn't say if sober. Whether it's true or not. But in those two scenes I don't think Lucas was doing anything around his true feelings. Brooke was there, he had a close relationship with her at once and wanted to fill comfort and just forget about the broken heart he had. The Peyton thing I truly believe he didn't mean it, even though when I first saw that episode I felt my heart drop. I just think he wanted to hurt her just like he was hurting. And maybe wanted to pretend her didn't still love Peyton, because he thought he wanted Lindsay.

Anyways, I think yes people can say the true a lot easier when they are drunk, than when they are sober. But as far as Lucas goes there wasn't really any true feeling in those. Lucas's 'I hate you' towards Peyton might have been true at that moment, just because he was in a lot pain and he probably would have say I hate you to anyone who might have happened to take him home, that night. He was probably hating everyone and everything, including himself that night. Plus the next episode everyone told Peyton that Lucas didn't hate her. And how could he? there's just too much history there to hate her. Plus the Brooke scene, she even said after she pulled away from the kiss, that he was just doing that because he was hurting and wanted some sort of comfort.

So I guess what this question was really suppose to say was did you think he meant them..... or something in that ball park.

People seem to forget that after the BL kiss Lucas started saying how he couldn't live with out PEYTON!! I'm sorry but to me that BL kiss will always be a rebound kiss...

BL kiss was a rebound kiss, it wasn't about BL or Lucas's feelings for Brooke at all, it was about Lucas being heartbroken & lost without Peyton.
And when Lucas told Peyton he hated her when he was obviously still in love with her.
So No.

the question isnt asking if this happens in RL. its asking if it happened in these scenes.. which it definitely didnt. the "yes" option should be at 0% right now lol

So I guess what this question was really suppose to say was did you think he meant them..... or something in that ball park.

Sadly, no. I think it's quite common in real life but when Luke kissed Brooke in season 5, he was simply extremely desperate and helpless (I LOVE that scene/kiss though. :D). While he actually took the "I hate you" back immediately...
