Okay, I say yes, to this because Lucas went to Brooke after he was turned down by Peyton. However I do believe he did fall for her and really did love her. But at first I do think she was a rebound. Sorry but that's what I think.....

I really don't see how any one can deny the fact that she was a rebound in season 1... It was made pretty clear on the show!
But I think in season 3 he really did fall for her.

I think is obvious she was a rebound for him in season 1, but in season 2 he started to see the real Brooke and fell for her, to bad it wasn't a deep love ;)

Seasons 2-3? Nah.

Season 1? Absolutely!

i think so. disecting the seasons aside... i think she was a rebound from peyton, just in general. yes, there's no denying that lucas really fell for brooke the second time around. but that was still AFTER peyton's rejection in season 1. and after she had made it clear that they couldn't be together, because she couldnt do that to brooke.

so to this day i still believe that lucas never even saw peyton as an option, after season 1. if she "didn't want to hurt brooke" back then, what would make him think she'd be willing to do it in seasons 2&3? and because of that...i think thats why BL even had the chance to resurface.

im a firm believer that at any time, if lucas had known that he COULD have been with peyton (if peyton would have been ok with it, and if it wouldnt have been hurting anyone)...he would have. but i think after peyton's reason in season 1 for not being able to be with him, he thought that that ship had sailed, and was no longer possible. if that makes sense..
