Agree to some extent. I agree that Lucas is at fault ALSO. But I don't think that ALL of the blame should be put on him, Peyton obviously is to blame too. And I am the first to admit that she had her faults in the BLP drama.

HOWEVER... I just find it delusional, ridiculous, and unbelievably biased when people bash Peyton, and ONLY Peyton for all of the drama. "Peyton is a two-faced bitch, who STOLE Lucas from Brooke!"... give me a break. You can't "steal" something (or someone) who doesn't want to be stolen. Lucas contributed just as much as Peyton did... period. Like Peyton had a gun to Lucas' head, and made him:

A) Cheat on Brooke
B) Betray Brooke's trust numerous times
C) Always put her before Brooke
D) Let her in, when he never let Brooke in... therefore causing ALL of Brooke's insecurities

...yeah... Peyton MADE Lucas do all of those things lol

Hmm I could go on and on about this but to keep it simple. I think it's Peyton and Lucas's fault. You can't blame one without the other. And in S3/S4 Peyton didn't steal Lucas. Brooke basically gave him to Peyton.

IMO only one of these things are actually true. I never thought Lucas betrayed Brooke's trust besides S1, I definitely don't agree that Lucas put Peyton before Brooke and he did let her in. Maybe it's just me but that's how I see it

Yep all of them did something wrong at one point but Lucas the most by far!

I can agree that Lucas & Peyton was at fault by sneaking around on Brooke, but to some extent Brooke knew. She kept asking Peyton if it was ok. Not saying Brooke knew completely, but it was up to all of them to be honest. Peyton be honest about her feelings, Lucas be honest on who he loved, and Brooke be honest with herself. But no matter how you slice it, someone is gonna pick sides and enemies. Ad we have beaten this horse to death.

Guys are jerks , okay we all should know this by now and If a guy cheats isn't a big deal , but Peyton wasn't supposed to go after him , if she was her best friend.Best friends just don't do that.She either waited for them to break up by their OWN terms , or forget it.She didn't do either of them.

completely agree with kellyerin87, and Laurencia7. ALL are at fault, including peyton. but it was by NO means all, or even mostly her fault. and i agree when Laurencia7 said that brooke (don't kill me BL fans lmao) should have been honest with herself. i can't help but think that she kind of put herself in that predicament, by being to persistant in coming between LP.

even when she was with lucas, she knew that him and peyton still had a stronger connection, but she kept kind of.. living in denial... and stringing herself along with him, because she still liked him. which is fine i guess, and her right, as his girlfriend. but she honestly couldn't have been surprised by the fact that LP weren't over, and their feelings resurfaced. NOT THAT IT'S OK THAT THEY CHEATED, because it's not. but if brooke was completely honest with herself, she really should have seen SOMETHING to that effect coming, i think.

and i really don't want to hear the bitching. it's MY opinion. I KNOW many of you will disagree... and that's fine and dandy lmao. but i think what i think, and i don't owe any apologies for that :)

Okay my answer was like Peyton had pretty big fault to , being her best friend but so did Lucas , BUT I never was able to understand how Brooke came betwen LP...yes she dared them to kiss eachother when she was drunk and bitter , and hardly remembered anything the next day , how else did she know LP had something ?

^ She knew LP had something because she said herself that Peyton told her what happened between LP at Nathan's house. When her and Lucas were talking (while taking care of Peyton when she was drugged), Brooke said to him something like "I can't believe you'd do this, after what happened with you all the other night". And he said "she told you about that?", and she said "yeah, kind of". So she knew that Lucas had poured his feelings out to Peyton at the party, and told her that he wanted to be with HER.

And then there's always the fact that Brooke felt the need to LIE, and manipulate the whole time before the party... trying to get Nathan, and Peyton back together so that SHE could get closer to Lucas. And she obviously did that because she knew that as long as Peyton was available, and in the picture... she had no chance with Lucas. Which is why at the party, when Brooke said Nathan and Peyton needed some time alone, Peyton said to her "Why? So you can get me OUT OF THE WAY, so you can keep embarassing yourself in front of Lucas?". And THEN there was Brooke's quote "I dare you to SHOW US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL, kiss Lucas".

And THEN once Brooke was dating Lucas, she was constantly asking Peyton if she was okay. Why would she ask her if she was okay, if she didn't think LP had something going on, or Peyton had feelings for him?

There were TONS of signs that Brooke knew something was going on between LP. I could keep listing scenes and quotes, but I won't bore you anymore! lol

Actually thanks , now I remember the part with the party where Peyton got drugged , and at Nathan's party I still believe that Brooke was drug and didn't remember anything.
And Peyton should have just said something ...or I don't know... wait ?I mean not go after him while he was dating Brooke/shortly after they broke up.
Anyways I don't think it was ONLY Lucas' faught I think it was partly Lucas' and Peyton's , I know a very very similar situation and I realised it wasn't that much the guy's fault , because well he wasn't BFF with anyone , and he was just jerk.

agreed, i think it was both of their faults but more of peytons because they were best friends, lucas was just the guy. i don't think it mattered whether or whether not brooke suspected that there was something going on b/w LP because peyton should have told her, and not be with lucas while she is with brooke, OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

It was both Lucas and Peyton's fault in season 1. I blame Peyton for S3/4.
