They wouldn't have drifted apart, cause he would have seen her there and taked to her.

i definately think that it would have been different. Peyton says that lucas gave up when she said someday to his proposal(yes to an extent he did) but this was when he really gave up on then. you could see he was really upset that she wasn't there...and in episode 5.02, his reaction when she told him she was there...damn them both sometimes....lol

Luke and lindsey went on their first date after the book signing. so obviously luke inviting peyton to the book signing was a window for leyton again, but that split moment (lindsey kiss) changed everything. Luke would have explained to peyton (who thought lundsey was together) that the kiss was nothing & peyton wouldn't have left. but s5 has to have some kind of love triangle drama for entertainment, heh...

idk they always breakup its kinda stupid i like them together but i'm not sure they are worth all of the stupid good byes and then the i never stopped loving you its a little much already the writers need to pick "together" or "apart" but thats just one opinion

yerr because it was only him stopping them from being together and by him calling her they could of been together! plus he wouldnt of gone out with lindsey! :)

In episode 5.02 you could just see how much it meant for Lucas, to hear Peyton telling him that she was there, and how proud she was of him, and just the eyes that Lucas made said everything that there needed to be said = PERFECT! :D

omg yes if she she went anyway even saeeing lindsey kiss his cheek that may not mean anything i would have stayed and watched his expression when he saw me i wouldnt leave right away. If she stayed i think that lucas and peyton would have been together throughout season 5 but they had to make the show interesting still totally would have been different if she satyed :?
