and hello... even if they had slept together, it obviously would have been for all the WRONG reasons. the only reason they even kissed was because Lucas was drunk and hurting from his split with Peyton. it's not like that kiss was about BL getting one last moment of passion between them, or letting out their unresolved feelings they still had for eachother. it was about Lucas once again hiding from his TRUE feelings, and running to the first available girl that he saw for comfort. Brooke was just a distraction at the moment for Lucas, nothing more.

If that kiss had continued, and led to sleeping together... Lucas basically would have been just using Brooke, and sleeping with her would have just been an attempt to try and distract himself from the pain that he was really going through. it still would have led to the same end reaction from him, saying "i feel lost Brooke, i don't know what to do without her". the only difference is that he would have said it right after he finished SLEEPING with Brooke, instead of just kissing her. Him sleeping with Brooke wouldn't have changed the fact that he was still longing after Peyton. i dont understand how even BL fans could have been happy about that. I would never wish for LP to sleep together, if the true reason Lucas was doing it was because he was drunk and trying to cover up his feelings for Brooke lol.

I just watched this episode today!! But I am glad Brucas didn't sleep together b/c Brooke is better than that and it would have just ended really bad.

Brooke knows that Peyton & Lucas are soulmates and doing that would just be aweful.

Brooke moved past season 1 and forgave Peyton (which was lovely of her) and the two were friends again (even after seasons 3&4 where I thought Brooke was totally in the wrong but I won't go in to that).

They were no longer in high school and really for Brooke to do that and justify it with "well you did it to me" - seriously that wouldn't make her a good friend, that wouldn't make her a good peson, and surely people MUST see the difference.

I kinda look at it like this: someone punches you in the face (for whatever reason) you can punch them back. But if you forgive them move on, grow up, leave high school and get jobs then one day walk up to them and punch them in the face and say "that's for when you got me in highschool" they'd be like WTF?! Maybe it's a stupid comparison but that's how I see it.

Also I'd like to mention - Brooke already did something like this to Peyton, only it was with Nathan.

Well it would be betreying. She knew Peyton and Lucas still loved each other so she did the right thing, even though IMO she still had feelings for Lucas.

brooke still had feelings for lucas and lucas was lost and confused, them sleeping together soo soon would have been for all the wrong reasons. i would deffo want them to get together but mot soo soon after LP broke up. i perfer that my fave couple have a classy build up to their relationship not some random hookup at the wrong time, plus Brooke is waaay too classy to do something like that.

Brooke knows as good as anyone how it feels to be cheated on. So if she did end up sleeping with Luke in New York, it would've been cheating on Peyton - and she would've known it would've hurt Peyton. Plus, the fact that she knew Lucas had proposed to Peyton - all the more reason for sleeping together to be wrong, as much as I love Brucas.

am i missing something here lol? was there some kind of secret scene when brooke confessed that she still had feelings for lucas at this time, that i'm failing to remember? why are people saying that brooke still had feelings for lucas during this scene?? is it just because of the whole "lucas scott is the one boy i might have lost it all for" quote she said afterwards? because that doesn't necessarily mean that she still had feelings for him... at all. it just means that AT ONE TIME, she might have "lost it all" for him. she didn't say that she STILL felt that way about him. i think its pretty obvious that brooke had moved on, and was clearly still pro-LP at that point. which is why she told lucas that him kissing her was stupid, and that they weren't in high school anymore.

i think it was just the fact that she had to listen to lucas talk all night about love that reminded her how important love really is, and that it was the one aspect of her life that was missing... which is why she said "what about love mom? isn't that the key?" i don't think it had anything to do with her still having feelings for LUCAS himself, but more-so the fact that she was reminded that she was missing love in her life

It would have just been plain stupid if they had actually slept together! annnd it would not have made them "even" either, 'cause LP never slept together when BL were still together! I honestly don't think Brooke had any feelings for him at the time, IMO if she did...Mark would have made it a tad bit more obvious. buttt who knows?

A few of those options apply to me. It would have been TOTALLY OOC for Brooke.So random! I would have been pissed MORE at Brooke then at Lucas if that were to happen because Lucas was already a HUGE insecure asshole.But Brooke,would have been well aware that Lucas was drunk and in a emotional state and was heartbroken over his break-up with Peyton.She was well aware that they BOTH still were in love with each other.To me,Brooke doing that to Peyton would have been equivalent to Leyton cheating in s1. SO I AM SO GLAD THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED because if it did Brooke wouldn't be one of my two favorite OTH characters anymore!

It would have been kind of happy because they would have been BL but really sad for me at the same time. Because after they sleep together...what? what happens after? if they had sleep together or continue a relationship after that, their total comeback would have been based on the LP break up. For me it would have been horrible that BL came back just because Lucas was heartbroken for Peyton & needed comfort. Brooke is not like that. Brooke knows Lucas maybe better than he knows himself. Brooke make the right choice. Surely if she had slept with him she would had hurt herself more.

It would have been betrayal. Lucas and Peyton were in a serious relationship for year(s) and had JUST broken up because Lucas had proposed and so on. Lucas was heartbroken and lost and wasn´t thinking straight. Peyton was Brooke´s best friend and she obviousluy knew she was still in love with Lucas, as well as the fact that Lucas was clearly still in love with Peyton.

If brooke would have slept with Lucas then after everything she knew, I could not have been able to respect her again. or Lucas for that matter. I think it would have been very wrong, of both Brooke and Lucas. It would have been pointless, it would have only hurt them all in the long run.
(I think that Peyton and Lucas were wrong to sneak around Brooke´s back too, but this pick was not about them. I don´t think that Peyton has betrayed Brooke many times though, only once.)

Obviously Lucas was crushed & even if something happened between Brooke & Lucas I couldn't careless. She would have been the rebound girl. BUT obviously from Peyton's POV it wouldn't look like that. I would be more preoccupied for the Breyton friendship rather than for Brucas (it clearly wasn't going to last either way)
