i dont understand how people could think that brucas need more closure. in my opinion brucas has had all the closure that they could possibly get. i mean hello watch the episode in season 4 after the bball banquet. they both acknowledged that the love whitey was talking about WASNT there between them, and that that left them as friends. since then brooke has made it perfectly clear that she knows lucas should be with peyton, and she has been their #1 fan... and obviously lucas moved onto peyton and never looked back. they have definitely had their closure

to me both didnt really get closure but jeyton didnt get it at all it was kinda like will you marry me you still love lucas ok im going now

i think they both do...lucas need to know everthing about there break up and jake and peyton need to say a proper bye to each other...that how i see things

As far as I'm concerned, both chapters are beyond over. Coffins sealed and all. But if I had to choose one, Brucas definitely had better closure than Jeyton. Jeyton never fizzled out like brucas did. Jeyton never went back to being just friends cause i'm sure their love was true. Heck they still loved eachother very much when Peyton left back to TH. Jake would have taken Peyton back and MARRIED her if she returned to him over Luke with no doubts. But Peyton loved Lucas more. So I wouldn't mind seeing some jeyton scenes that involve them being friendly but not familiar, lol. Maybe Jake found someone? Or maybe he'll just come back to TH to see how Peyton is doing. If she's single? lol. That would be interesting. Anyhow, dream on abby cause Leyton's leaving TH at the end of the season [which is nearing quick :( ]...

Yeah but Brooke has also made it clear that Lucas is the one she loves, look at season 5's flashback episode.....Brooke said "Lucas Scott might have been the one boy I would have lost it all for" I think those are her exact words sorry if I'm wrong.

i agree with theboysawacomet... Brucas got MORE than enough closure. i dont think that quote from Brooke in season 5 meant that she still loved him or anything at all... she was just saying that he MIGHT have been the one boy she would have lost it for at one time, because she USED to love him. and after seeing how torn up Lucas was about losing Peyton... that just reminded her how important love is, and that she would like to have love like that... like the love that Lucas and PEYTON had.

and to add on to that - Brucasbeliever way I saw it: When Luke kissed brooke in the 505 flashback, it reopened old wounds. She did truly love him in the past and will always care about him (ofcourse not the degree that she used to). She realized how alone she was and wanted a family - a man. And the last man she really loved was Luke. But she knew she doesn't want a future with him - she just wanted someone to share a future with. That's why she tried to bury that dull pain by further immersing herself into her work.

exactly, that is why Brooke said "but what about love mom? isnt that the key?" she said it because that night with Lucas just reminded her that she doesnt have love like Leyton had, and that being in love is what she really wants. she didnt say it because she is still in love with Lucas... that wouldnt have made any sense for her to still be in love with him at that point

dude i think i can pretty much bet on jake not coming back so i say closure is pretty much finito with them!

brucas on the other hand, do you guys not see the amount of eyesexage going on there? Maybe im blind but to me its still there!

Plus they didnt breakup b/c they didnt love each other, so they will always be left with those "What could've beens" and those seriously suck

What could have beens? I honestly don't think Luke is concerned with what could have been with Brooke at all. He's actually pretty blissed out with P.Sawyer! Not including the baby drama - but that's because he's so worried about losing her! AWWW!

well i think any couple that breaks up has something that can be left as a "what could have been"

neither of these couples broke up because they didn't love each other...i believe that they broke up because both brooke and jake realized that no matter how much they loved their partner, their partners heart belonged to someone else and it always would.

As you know I don't think very highly of Brooke but I can say I had great respect for her actions in episode 4.09 and to me that was Brooke's best moment. I can say the same for Jake when he tells Peyton to go back to tree hill in episode 3.21, I can't picture how hard that must have been for both of them to admit. I think both Brooke and Jake realized that Peyton would always have the biggest part of luke's heart the same way that luke would have the biggest part of hers. And who would want to be with someone they knew would rather be with someone else, no matter how much they love them.

Now with that being said I think that Jeyton had less closure because well Jake kinda just sends Peyton away and she leaves and then that's it. At least Brucas talked about it a bit.

They both do. Lucas still needs to know why Brooke broke up with him. The sudden break up needs to be talked about.
And we're in season6 and Lucas still doesnt know the real reason.
And Jeyton REALLY need one too!

I like to keep an open mind and as much as I don't like her she has her amazing moments. I like to recognize the bad in the characters i love and the good in the characters I hate...I hate it when people ignore that :)

I agree with you Leyton4ever, no one is completely perfect nor is someone completely horrible!

i think jeyton is the only couple on the show in which the audience was really given no closure....when we've seen leyton end, brucas end, lindcas end, keiran (keith and karen?) end...etc. through many of those break ups- we got SOME closure...not nearly enough for the people who ship those couples, but they have kind of been dealt with. but jeyton was not at all....peyton wanted to marry jake and then says i love you in her sleep to lucas and suddenly next thing we know she's in love with lucas and jake tells her to go be with him....we didn't see any real ending to the relationship. it was so sudden and left all jeyton fans questioning what the hell they just saw- to go from i love jake, to i love lucas in the same day....definitely the couple given the least closure.

but also....brucas doesn't need closure...because for all us brucas fans, their relationship isnt going to end, so no closing needed :-) (notice how i said to "us brucas fans" so i don't need a response that leyton is endgame)

eye sex?? lol im sorry but every time brucas look at eachother brucas fans tend to call it "eye sex"... and i think a lot of that is just wishful thinking on brucas fans' parts. and im with kellyerin, what is this real reason that brucas fans keep talking about? brooke broke up with lucas because their connection faded, and because she knew that they just werent meant to be, and that him and peyton should be together, and she told him all of those reasons.

does it even matter if brooke has secret reasons for breaking up with him that he doesnt know about? at the end of the day him knowing the "real" reason wouldnt change the fact that in season 4 LUCAS himself acknowledged that going to the bball banquet together was a mistake, and that they didnt have the love that whitey was describing. brookes reasons for breaking up with lucas wouldnt change the fact that lucas knows himself that he doesnt have that love with brooke

That, right there, is barely a closure. They have moved on, they have to, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they've had closure.

With Brucas, at least they had some attempt for a proper closure, but with Jeyton, nada. Last we heard of Jake he was telling Jenny that he hoped that the Prince would end with the Princess (which I would assume he is talking about himself and Peyton). He wasn't even talked about after. They definitely need their closure, for the sake of all us fans.

I can understand that Brucas fans were not satisfied with their ending in 4x08 but no one can say they didn't have an ending. They ending everything in 4x01 and they cleared up everything in 4x08. Lucas even said, 'how we leave eachother? As friends?' I don't know what you wanted more.

As for Jeyton, if I were a Jeyton fan I would really be pissed off. Peyton goes all the way to Savannah, they make love, she asked him to marry her & he accepts, she says I love you Lucas in her sleep and that's it?
What kind of ending is that? Sure she went back to TH and discovered she had feelings for Lucas, but he waited for her & was willing to MARRY her. They said someday but it never happened. I'm a Leyton fan but seriously Jeyton deserved a better ending and Jake should have come back to TH.
