Lucas leaving Peyton because she wasn't ready to get married yet was absolutely ridiculous! he acted like a 5 year old that couldn't handle not getting exactly what he wanted, when he wanted it for a change. he totally didn't know how to handle Peyton not doing something at the snap of his finger... so he was an ass, and left because he didn't get his way. heaven forbid the girl in Lucas' life controls the relationship for once, instead of everything being about what Lucas wants, when he wants it. ugh lol that whole scene just drove me nuts.

and i think Brooke "not missing" Lucas was a GREAT reason for them to break up. if you stop missing your boyfriend... something's not right, and your feelings for him or your connection with him obviously aren't as strong as they should be. if you truly deep down love someone, and have a strong connection with them, you miss them when you're apart, or when you don't have meaningful conversations... period. Brooke absolutely did the right thing by ending things with him :)

surprisingly I saw where each person/couple was coming from with the breakups. even with luke. Luke heard "no" when peyton said "not now/I do wanna marry you someday". He was foolish to run away, but he still wasn't completely crazy for interpreting it differently. Anyhow, I thought Brelix's breakup was random. I mean if Brooke could forgive luke for cheating and treating her poorly alot of the time (s1/3), she could forgive Felix for protecting his sister in a stupid way.

i don't see how anyone can honestly say that Brooke should have stayed with Lucas when she admitted that she "stopped missing him". as i said before... if you stop missing your boyfriend or girlfriend... then something's NOT right. if you have ANY kind of emotional connection to a person at all, then you miss them when you're apart... that's just how it is. Brucas' love/connection was starting to fade at that point, and Brooke saw that. she absolutely did the right thing by breaking up with him. her not missing him anymore was only a sign of what was to come, as far as their connection as a couple goes... and she realized that. if you don't miss your boyfriend or girlfriend when you're apart... then you shouldn't be with them

I dunno why people took the "stopped missing you" phrase so literally. I think we all know it wasn't as simple as that. If brucas were fine in s3 and they had resolved all their ever looming problems, then yeah, 401 would have been random. But brooke's "stopped missing you" phrase went deeper than just literal. She stopped missing him as in: she was starting to move on. She didn't feel the same way about him anymore. She was giving up on Brucas because she knew Luke couldn't give her what she needed and he just wasn't the guy she thought he was. They weren't the couple she hoped they would be. Now, luke took it literally and didn't get it at first either, but in 408 he did.

And remember why she said "i stopped missing you". She said when they went days without a meaningful conversation she used to miss him so much when that happened. Then she said "but it never seemed like you missed me; so I guess because of that I stopped missing you." She didn't say I missed you when you were away but it never seemed like you missed me. Then AFTER the "stopped missing you" bit, she went on to explain their relationship and how cut off luke was with her most of the time and said it shouldn't be like that. So I think we need to take her phrase into a larger context cause it wasn't as cookie cutter as many fans thought.

well this was just studip but thank god casue i can't stand fleix AT ALL. but they could of used a better reason

with the brucas break up i don't believe that she stopped missing him at all. i don't know if it was meant to be believable or what but i could see threw it. i think she was just trying to get out of the love traiangle before anything started to protect herself but she still got hurt.

with leyton. i never got this. i know that lucas would of been hurt and all and it showed that he wanted a to be married and she didn't so they broke up?????.plus it's called a LONG engagement

like abs said... i don't think Brooke meant for it to be taken literally only that she missed him, and that was all that was wrong. my point was that that was a sign that Brucas' CONNECTION as a couple was fading... and Brooke saw that. and that's why she said "we go days without having meaningful conversation". so yes... there WAS something wrong with Brucas' connection/relationship, anyone who watched the show could see that, and Brooke saw it too. it was only a matter of time before Brucas realized that they just weren't working well together anymore, Brooke just happened to see it first. i thought her reasons for breaking up with Lucas made perfect sense
