They have some similarities,the brunette vs. the blonde, two best friends fighting over a guy, but the storys of the love triangles are different. It's exactly the same story, Mark Schwahn stole it definitely from BH90210. Brooke and Brenda were both childish and dramatic, but they were also independent and strong and could take care of theirselves. Peyton and Kelly are both more calm and grown up, but also weak and needy. They always needed to be saved by someone else. They are the definition of Damsel in Distress.
