she was great to nate even when he treat her like crap. Awesome girlfriend to Jake, she sacrifice a lot for him and she was and still is the perfect girl for Luke (there's too many reasons why she is the best girlfriend but I don't have time to write)

In general they were all good girlfriends so it's a process of elimination:
- brooke played games & constantly made luke prove his feelings to her (which was understandable given leyton's history; but she did it over and over which got really annoying)

- hales and nate barely dated, lol. they got married so fast so i'll talk about their marriage: hales left nate in s2. nuff said.

- Karen didn't acknowledge andy as her boyfriend (for a while) when keith was around...

- Lindsey didn't know how to challenge luke; how to inspire him when it came to writing his second novel. All she did was nag; then peyton came around and said what needed to be said. She knew him and therefore knew how to get through to him.

*** again, this is nitpicking so this doesn't go to say that the girls I just talked about weren't good girlfriends.

Now with Peyton, she really opens up with the guys who she's with. Nate wouldn't listen though (cause he was wrapped up in his own melodrama), so i didn't blame peyton for not opening up as much with him. But she doesn't play games. She challenges and inspires the men she's with. She respects the guy & herself enough to wait till things get serious before she takes their relationship to the next level (sex, marriage). She ALWAYS has the right thing to say when she's consoling the man she loves and never ever betrays her boyfriend's trust.

you forgot that Brooke is a cheater because she slept with Chris keller when she was dating Luke and she is a liar too because she never told chase the truth about her past (he only found out because of the sex tape) and she lied to Nick saying that she was a 22 year old model named Peyton. I can't believe she is winning this! she is the worse girlfriend!!

Brooke did not Cheat on Luke because they were not dating and Brooke didn't tell chase about her past because he would have dumped if she did.

i'll agree about the lies she's told. she's also been possessive ("I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk to peyton") and manipulative ("I was mad at you when I asked luke to go to the banquet tonight" "So you did it out of spite??" "Not at first, but now i'm not so sure").

I don't blame brooke for not telling chase about her past right away. they hadn't been dating that long. I would have nailed her for it if she had kept it from him permanently (but I guess we'll never know cause he found out sooner rather than later). and I didn't mention brooke's one night stand with chris keller cause though it was a low move on her part, her and luke weren't exclusive, so technically it wasn't cheating, but she had a heck of a way of showing luke how much she cares by doing what she did with chris eh? - oh well...

even if the relationship wasn't exclusive is considering as cheating!! it hurt Lucas anyway...that made her a not good girlfriend material

I see where you're coming from alessandra. just wanted to let you know why I didn't include the brooke/kellar affair (seeing as how the evidence we're listing is about recollections of the girls when they were actual girlfriends and not nonexclusive dating gals).
catarina, I understand that she didn't wanna go through it all again (s1), but it doesn't change the fact that she told luke not to talk to peyton, that she told luke they were non exclusive but got mad at him for dating rachel, and more...that's possessive...

I don't see Brooke that way .
In season 1 you don't see Brooke like "Lucas , don't talk whit this or that girl" .
The first time that brooke dating someone for really he cheated on her with with her best friend . Is something that you can't forget.
That's why she start in season 3 with the stupid non exclusive relationship .

For me Brooke is very srong but it's a person that have afraid to get hurt .

But i really think that Peyton is a good choise too.

catarina, yeah, but in s1, when brooke saw leyton hanging out at the cafe with peyton's dad, brooke said: "it looked more like you were dating peyton, how messed up is that?" and when she told peyton: "I think he's trying to get the best of two worlds. He uses you for that whole emotional stuff and me he just uses." Brooke even said, "I used to feel inferior to you (before luke cheated)." Brooke's always been insecure...thanks to her mom. She wasn't as possessive in s1, just more insecure, but in s3 that's when she got really possessive given leyton's past. but yeah, we'll agree to disagree :) (but I see where you're coming from too) :)

As a girlfriend she was pretty good but as a wife she was just brilliant.

I really think Brooke is the best one, just take a look:

HALEY kissed Chris. And just like that wasnt enough, she ran away from Nathan without saying goodbye. She also said "this marriage is over" in season 5, because Nathan didnt look after Jamie. I can understand that, but I think she was overreacting a little bit.

PEYTON was uncredibly great together with Jake. I love her for that, but think about all the things she have done to OTHERS relationships. She kissed Lucas when he and Brooke were dating. She didnt say yes to Lucas' proposal, but when Lucas finally moves on and finds Lindsay, THEN Peyton can start to care! She called Lindsay mean stuff, she kissed Lucas again while he was dating another girl. I know that Peyton just was true to her feelings, but hey. The line's gotta go somewhere, right?

LINDSAY was kinda ok, actually. But I'll hold my finger on Brooke though.

RACHEL is a person I have never liked.

KAREN is amazing. But we all know that she couldnt say yes to Keith before season 4. But then it was too late!
