It's the annual Father/Son basketball game at Tree Hill High and Lucas needs a dad to play. As his dad would play as Nathan's dad, Luke asks Uncle Keith to play. Lucas is happy to have a father figure like Keith after watching Dan, humiliate Nathan, and try and destroy the Ravens.

Nathan tries to make amends with Peyton, but she turns him down, as she struggles with coping with the anniversary of her mother's death. She finds an unusual confide in Whitey.

Haley is still tutoring Nathan, and this bothers Lucas as their developing friendship continues.
