I was lying on the bed then. I tried to sleep but I couldn’t . Everytime I closed my eyes, the images of my grandfather and the girl I loved appeared. They were all so far away that I couldn’t touch . My life without them was meaningless and covered with the darkness. I even couldn’t feel or see anything. I took a blade nearby and pricked it through the skin of the palm of my hand. My hand began to bleed but I still couldn’t feel hurt. It was useless with me. When I got home, I noticed a list of chores I had to do on the counter. I opened the piece of paper and the length of it reached the floor.
I sighed and read out each of my tasks.

‘1.Clean the kitchen
2. Polish out shoes.
3. Mop our floors.
4. Make our beds.
5. Fix the couches.
6. Wash the windows.


There was MANY more, but I’m not going to bore you by telling you each of them.

The doorbell rang. Louis looked out the window.

“hello! Delivery for leah!” she said.
“but I didn’t order any pizza.” I told her.

Then she went down on her knees and started to cry.
“PLEASE! I need this job! I have a husband and wife- I mean children to feed!” she cried.

We got back to my apartment and changed our clothes. We put some make up on and finished getting ourselves ready.
