Part 10
Nicole had managed to move “Team Dark” out of the half destroyed room, while Midnight tried once again to fix up Lisa, who was still in a world of pain. “Hold on Lisa”. Midnight said as she spread the strange mass around the injuries.
Meanwhile, the battle against “Team Dark” and Nicole was getting longer and more painful. Nicole tried to dodge their attacks, but with Chaos spears and bullets shooting strait at her, she knew she was running out of time.
They fought until coming to a large staircase, which lead to a large swarm of G.U.N. agents at the bottom. Nicole now had a new problem. She now had all together, Shadow, Omega, Rouge, and a bunch of G.U.N. agents, who were all shooting at her.
The impact from the shooting shot Nicole through almost three walls. She got up, and noticed something shining in the room. “The Chaos Emeralds”! Nicole exclaimed as she darted for the red gem. The red emerald was nearly in her grasps, until Shadow teleported, and grabbed the green emerald.
He shouted out “CHAOS CONTROL”! attempting to freeze Nicole in a time warp, but Nicole flipped backwards just as he finished. She could almost touch the emerald, but the time warp had caught her right leg, confining her to the ground. She tried reaching for it, but couldn’t grab it. Then she instead hit the base of the capsule that was holding the two emeralds, causing the red gem to fall to the ground.
“I have had enough of you”! Shadow said as he shot Nicole with a chaos spear. Nicole groaned in pain, but muttered out “The feeling is mutual”. Before Shadow could figure out what she had said, he was shot across the area destroying yet another wall.
The surprised… black… ark creation got up and started at Nicole a second time. He tried using the time warp, but instead Nicole used the emerald to shoot it back at him. “Shadow, we will assist you”! Omega said as he and Rouge went to confront the lynx girl. “No! I will do it myself”! Shadow said, just before using time warp on his comrades, along with the other G.U.N. agents.
Shadow took a step back, as did Nicole, then both of them rushed forward to confront the other, but they were stopped by a large red blast. Everyone on the battle field went flying. The four opponents looked up from where they had landed to see a red and brown figure standing over them.
The figure looked like Iron Nicole, but different. She wore a long belt, and a black dress, with green stripes going from the hip down. “She” had green gloves, black ears, and red eyes. The Iron Nicole like person leaned down to where Nicole lay then said “Red isn’t your color”. before trying to grab the red chaos emerald from Nicole.
Nicole and her dark “twin” were both grasping one half of the emerald, trying to keep it from the other. They struggled for a few seconds, when the Darker Nicole attempted to punch Nicole in the face. She would have hit her, but before contact, a black sting hit the dark lynx, causing her to let go of the emerald, so that she could take out what hit her.
Nicole stepped back, just in time to see the Dark Nicole pull out Midnight’s Dagger from her palm. The pain was excruciating even after the dagger was out. “Who did that”?! The evil lynx said in rage. “Yeah… that was me”. Midnight said, leading Lisa behind her.
Nicole was about to exclaim her happiness, when the Dark lynx’s army appeared and started shooting lazer beams at the three heroes. “Hold on to me guys”! Nicole yelled as she reached for the unconscious “Team Dark” members. Nicole grasped the red emerald, and shouted “Chaos Control”! causing the six mobians to be teleported out of range.
“RRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH”! The Dark lynx growled, until she noticed something shining below her. A red robot walked up to her and said “Master VIRUS. Shall we eliminate the remains of G.U.N.”? The soldier bot inquired. “No. Our work is done, for now”. The lynx proclaimed as “Virus” said as she picked up the green chaos emerald from where Shadow had landed.
The army departed, leaving nothing but broken buildings, and dead or wounded humans. The third city had fallen.
Nicole and company had been teleported to a green field, about 50 miles from G.U.N.’s remains, then started off to look for help. As they walked, Nicole started thinking about what had happened. She thought about the dark ring energy. She thought about the lynx calling herself “Virus”, and she thought about a memory that was vital to saving everyone from the red army.
