I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Niall Horan's BBC Radio 1 interview with Greg James for 'This Town': 9 things we learnt
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
12 things we learnt from Harry Styles\' edgy...
Zayn Malik reckons he feels \'free\' since leaving...
10 things we want from Niall Horan\'s solo career
Niall Horan releases debut solo single \'This Town\'
As you\'re probably well aware, Niall Horan\'s just Beyoncé-dropped his debut solo single \'This Town\' and the world\'s lost its shit. Now obviously, because this and Harry Styles\' pretty little face plastered all over Another Man magazine isn\'t enough solo One Direction for us to be coping with, Nialler\'s decided to chat to Greg James off of Radio 1 about the single and stuff.
At this rate Liam Payne will be announcing a world tour with Juicy J and Louis Tomlinson will be elected president of Venezuela. NOTHING SURPRISES US ANY MORE.
Anyway, we took a break from listening to \'This Town\' on repeat to check out Niall\'s chat with Greg. And what did we learn, exactly? WELL:
"I just didn\'t want anyone to know...I wanted to keep it secret. I don\'t think a lot of people at the record label knew I\'d even signed to them...the song was kept between me and immediate management." Fair enough.
Shawn Mendes explains why he hasn\'t worked with...
"I just started writing songs just because I could and I like writing. This was one of the first songs that I wrote in February/March. I started writing with people I already had relationships with like Jamie Scott."
On whether or not Harry, Liam and Louis have heard it yet:
"I presume they\'ve heard it now. They hadn\'t heard it when I saw them last.
"They\'ve been in touch so it\'s all good. They haven\'t said [they\'ve heard it yet], but if they\'re up they have. We were obviously gonna do our own bits and pieces; our own projects. I just said to them \'I\'m bringing out a tune, hope you\'re okay with it
"There will be an album. It won\'t be this year, I haven\'t finished it yet."
"I think that\'s been the general consensus from people that\'ve heard it. It\'s honest and from me."
"[I\'m] nowhere near that. I haven\'t even finished the album yet. \'This TownWhen the album comes, the tour won\'t be too far after it."
"For me it had a double meaning. If you\'re from a small time you\'ll know there\'s one girl you always see out and about; at bars and stuff like that. I\'m just gonna check my phone, I\'m sure there\'s loads [of girls who think it\'s about them]."
"With 1D we did a lot of writing and recording on the road which was great. Churning out the albums like we did in quick succession was great and it really worked. After I went travelling around Asia I just wanted to go back in the studio.
"I started writing songs that I\'d write anyway. I was writing for the sake of it. I thought \'maybe I could do something with these.\'"
What d\'ya make of that, then? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape and don\'t forget to like us on Facebook while you\'re at it. Ta, mate.
