how old is Niall? (not to sound stupid, but im hearing one thing, and also another, so im confuzzled. help out a confuzzled fan!)

i know its on September 13, but what YEAR??
some say is '93, others say its '94
im convinced that its 1993, but then that would make him 20, and EVERYONE SAYS HES 19!!! wtf! help.......
im just a stupid girl who knows nothing about Niall Horan, apparently... :(
