i would say yes but i think 2 surpass sum1 is to truly do everything they did better...they didn't. they did get Kira it is true but how long did it take them? 6 years...
how long did it take L? 1...
if mello didn't help near how far would he have gotten?...far but he needed that xtra push and info that Mello gave him.
L was by himself (aw my baby was lonely)
don't get me wrong Nate and Mels rock I really love them but L was/is much better...and Near doesn't even want to "beat" L...he truly wants to BE him.
and Mello was on his way of becoming more of a B.B than a L.
