Chapter 1 – Surprise

Jen’s POV

I stood up from my seat in the front of MTAC, smoothed out my skirt as I slowly turned around to face my ex-husband. I took a deep breath, preparing myself to see him for the first time in 6 years.

Has it really been that long? I thought to myself. It still felt like only yesterday. It still felt so fresh, like it had been only yesterday that I had…that I had left. Would he still be mad? Furious? Betrayed? Hurt? I thought. Would he be pleased to see me, or will he wish me back to London on the first available flight?

My stomach was in knots and I felt like...
