Would Naruto have died a really long time ago, if he didn’t the Nine Tails inside of him?

Some people believe that it is Kyuubi Ninetails that gives Naruto some power. And without him, he would most likely die. Than again he is the main character with will power to never give up regardless the challenges put before him. Naruto Uzumaki always seems to overcome challenges regardless the odds.
