It's not that I don't like NaruHina (it's my favorite pairing), it's just that it is way more likely for it to end NaruSaku (though it might not be with any pairing). Also, Kushina did say that he should find someone like herself.

Hinata likes Naruto from the start.

1.) Hinata is calm, shy and quiet, which will balance out Naruto's hot-headedness. If they have children, they will be well balanced. :)

2.) Hinata is a much kinder and more selfless person than Sakura.

3.) Hinata has always loved Naruto. Sakura doesn't even love Naruto now. If Sakura and Naruto got together, Naruto would only be second best to her. She'd only claim to love him because of Sasuke not being available.

4.) If Naruto and Hinata got together, Sakura would probably end up with Sasuke. If Naruto and Sakura got together, who would poor Hinata be left with? Neji's her cousin, remember!

5.) Hinata has been through more loneliness than Sakura, so she is able to understand Naruto better.

6.) I think, deep down, Naruto is in love with Hinata, even if he doesn't realize it. Remember the Pain battle? When he thought Pain killed Hinata, he totally FLIPPED.
