Saw It On The Internet
Sapling132639 picked Saw It On The Internet:
I saw a scene from Applebuck Season I think it's called, it was the one where Pinkie Pie was going "Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo!" like a siren. Mainly I watched the video for Pinkie Pie, but the scene zooms in on Twilight, and I didn't recognize who she was. I was curious, so I decided to watch an episode. I looked up the show and chose a random episode, that being Feeling Pinkie Keen if you're curious. Not exactly the BEST choice for a first episode, considering I was VERY confused on who was who. But I did eventually watch the pilot episodes.
..Then the whole season....

......Then the rest of the seasons as they released....

I had always thought the whole brony culture was ridiculous and, well, stupid. But I had heard, even from some generally critical people, that the show was actually good, so I decided that I wanted to try it. Watched the pilot, liked it. Watched more and more and more. And now here I am, a fairly recent brony.
Talk about fateful irony, eh?

glelsey picked I heard Lauren Faust was directing it:
I knew she could be trusted to make a quality cartoon that wouldn't make young girls feel either embarrassed or guilty about... well... being female! A bit before she first started posting her G1 pony drawings on DeviantArt, she ranted about how cartoons aimed at girls are too often either OTT goody two-shoes or super negative and shallow. I agreed with her.

I'm a professional animator anyway so watching cartoons is no big deal to me. It's good for inspiration! So I watched the first two episodes one day and realised it was really good, so naturally I just carried on watching.

My big sister stole the TV from me, and turned it on. At first, I was like, "NO!! Shut it off!" And she was just like, "Shuddap and watch." So, I watched it and found I liked it. The song was catchy, the characters had fun personalities... I remember the first episode I watched was "Winter Wrap Up", and it got me hooked. :3

My little sister wanted me to watch it with her. At first I was skeptical about the show, but then it grew on me. The first episode I've ever watched was "A Dog and Pony Show", and yes, Rarity was the first pony I have ever known, despite Fluttershy being my favorite. I've been a brony since January 2013.

WWEChampion16 picked flipped channels until I hit upon the show:
When I 1st saw the show my heart grew 3 sizes that day (A Grinch reference. Ha!) I really fell hard for RainbowDash after I saw an entire episode featuring her. I became a brony tha day. A few months later whil r I was on vacation in Nashville I was in a mall and happened to walk into a Toys 'R Us outlet store and my mind was racing when I saw a small Rainbow Dash plush doll you could hold in one han. I bought it. So now I have that, an Applejack one, and a Beanie Baby Twilight Sparkle. I never looked at My little Pony the same way again after 1st laying my eyes on the show.
