There's no point in turning him evil, once he's been "reformed". I think the writers are working toward bigger story arch with more continuity and Discord will definitely have a role in Season 4.

My guess is that there's going to be a major conflict between ponies and, I don't know griffons, or changelings, whatever, and an episode will focus of Discord's internal struggle of which side should he join, good (the ponies) or evil (whatever random antagonist). That would be awesome! :)
