She spends most of her time at taking care of animals I prefer her to be an earth pony also because I love surprise but I wouldn't mind her as a Pegasus

theres 2 reasons why she'd be better as a pegasus pony 1.the pointless reason tht there ar 2 of each type of pony in the group and it would be un even 2 have 3 earth pony's 2.since she needs to help take care of animals she'd need her wings to get up to animals in danger and she knows how to get them down gently and stuff like tht

Many of the episodes that revolve around fluttershy sort of depend upon the fact that she's a pegasus that can't fly very well. If you take that away, then that sort of gets rid of the plot for some of those episodes.

Also, there's sort of a patter in the mane 6 that Crona did mention, but I'm sure we all know of it. 2 unicorns, 2 earth ponies, 2 pegasi. If you change one of them, then that would make things uneven.

She would have been fine as an earth pony (although just imagine Pegasus Pinkie Pie--holy moly), but she's perfect just as she is. <3 I think the fact that her nervous timidity makes her a relatively weak flyer is a cute, lovable character trait. She is like an angel, who nonetheless makes the best use she can of her pretty wings.

I think it would have been okay, but it really adds to her character--she is a pegasus who is not the greatest flier. If they kept Pinkie (or "Surprise") as a pegasus, then...well, I'd say the fourth wal would be seriously screwed, but anyway. It symbolizes her personality, IMO--she often is timid and cannot stand up for herself, but once she has a moment to speed up, she is ready to trample all over you. :3

I picked no but some people say Fluttershy doesn't fly but she sometimes does fly normally so i agree she spends most of her time taking care of animals and if they are actually stuck on a high place she always rescue them by flying so she must stay as a pegasus
