The doorbell rang. The turquoise unicorn idled on the porch for several minutes. There was no answer. She rang the doorbell again and again. After a while, the door opened for a bit. Only for a gap…

“Oh, Lyra… I didn’t expect you today…”

“Hello, Doctor! I came to see if there’s anything I can do to help.” Lyra explains happily. “How’s the reconstruction going?”

“Good… Good…” the brown earth pony replies abstractedly.

“Oh, great! Sooo… Can I take a look?”

“No… I… this is a very delicate stage right now… listen, I’m very busy…”...

Wheels of Evil – Part 3

“Whoooaaaa! Holy Sweet Celestia!” Lyra Heartstrings cries as the crimson Plymouth takes a right turn. The rear swings. Christine stays on course. The radio turns on. It plays “You Could Be Mine” by Hooves ‘N Roses.

Christine races out of Ponyville. The lie of the land is flat. Ideal. Open fields. The gas pedal travels downward by itself. The engine’s roar becomes louder. Lyra grabs the leather seat as Christine passes through the 100 mi/hour speed without any struggle. Lyra’s eyes widen as she looks at the speed-o-meter. The Fury still accelerates.

For a long while, everything was normal. Applejack (now a strong filly) and I worked the orchard while Granny and Ma cooked. Pa worked on his artwork. Everything was normal.

Until one day.

Pa kissed Applejack on the head as he packed his paintings into the back of his cart. "When will you be back?" whined Applejack. "I'm just goin' to the art fair on the other side of town," he explained. "I'll be back soon, my little apple."

And with that, he pulled the cart onto the long road that winded through Ponyville.

Applejack leaned on me. "Big Mac?"

"Eeyup?"

"Has Mama been actin' strange lately?" Applejack...
